The Extreme Phantom in the Yukon: Two Caribou, Two Dall Sheep, One Rifle

We just got back from a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the Yukon, and it turned into the toughest field test the Extreme Phantom has faced yet.

Ty, one of our own, shared a single Phantom with his business and hunting partner, Bob, for the entire trip. Two mountain caribou fell to it, side by side. Two days later, so did two Dall sheep — at roughly 250 yards, also side by side.

"What really stood out to me throughout the trip was how much of a difference it made having a rifle that was purpose-built for this type of hunting. The complete rifle package, including the scope, weighed only about 6 pounds, yet it still gave us the accuracy, reliability and confidence we expect from a high-end custom rifle." — Ty

No Room for Compromise

Hunts like this aren't cheap, and they aren't easy to get to. By the time you're several days deep into a remote range, thousands of feet up, with real money and real effort already spent, your rifle doesn't get a second chance. It either performs when the shot presents itself, or it doesn't.

That's the standard the Phantom was built to. It's not just a lightweight rifle — it's a purpose-built, turnkey hunting system designed to strip out compromise wherever it can be stripped out.

Every Ounce, Accounted For

The bare Extreme Phantom weighs 4 lb 14 oz — built around the all-new Defiance X7 titanium action — making it the lightest complete rifle we've ever offered. Add glass and it's still only around 6 lbs out the door.

When you're climbing all day, covering miles and gaining thousands of feet of elevation chasing sheep, caribou, or anything else in the mountains, that difference isn't trivial. But shedding weight doesn't mean shedding performance — the Phantom still delivers the accuracy and reliability built into every MOA rifle.

Not Just Gear We Sell

The Yukon trip was a reminder that what we sell isn't gear that just looks good on paper — it's the same equipment we bring on some of the most demanding, most expensive hunts we do ourselves.

If you're investing in a once-in-a-lifetime hunt, the rifle you're trusting to make it count shouldn't be an afterthought. The Extreme Phantom is our answer to that.
