The Build Process
Every MOA rifle is built to order. Below is an overview of each stage from initial consultation through delivery to your local dealer.
Stage 1 — Consultation & Deposit
The process begins with a direct conversation about your intended use, caliber, stock configuration, and component preferences. Once specifications are agreed upon, a deposit is required to secure your build slot. No build is scheduled without a confirmed deposit.
Stage 2 — Component Selection & Sourcing
Components are selected or ordered based on your confirmed spec sheet. Lead times at this stage are influenced by parts availability, barrel chambering complexity, and current shop capacity. We do not substitute components without your approval.
Stage 3 — Production & Progress Updates
Your rifle enters the build queue in order of deposit date. We provide progress updates at key milestones. Most builds run 4–8 months from deposit; timelines vary based on parts availability, chambering complexity, and shop workload. We will communicate any changes to your timeline as they occur.
Stage 4 — Proofing & Final Inspection
Completed rifles undergo a thorough inspection before any shipping arrangements are made. Function checks, headspace verification, and a review against your original spec sheet are all part of this stage. Nothing ships until the rifle passes final inspection.
Stage 5 — Shipping & FFL Transfer
Once the rifle passes final inspection, it ships to a licensed firearms dealer (FFL) of your choosing. All transfers are conducted in accordance with federal and applicable state law. You are responsible for identifying a receiving FFL prior to shipment. Transfer fees are set by your receiving dealer and are not included in the build price.
