The Action

The Ruckus sits between the Misfit and Anti X in Defiance Machine's lineup — a stainless steel action with the extra-deep flutes and skeletonized rail of the competition models at a price point closer to the Misfit. Pre-hardened 416 stainless steel receiver with 4340 chrome moly bolt, integral skeletonized scope rail and recoil lug.

The Ruckus uses a Wyatt WSM magazine cut and is compatible with hinged floorplate, AICS/AW, and single-shot configurations. The extra-deep right-hand flutes reduce rotating mass and weight relative to a smooth receiver. Compatible with the Ruckus prefit barrel system shared with the Anti X.

Available in Short Action, Medium Magnum, and Long Action Magnum. BDL or AICS/AW feed. Right or left bolt.

The Barrel

The barrel is a Proof Research match-grade steel — made in Columbia Falls, Montana on the same production line as their carbon-wrapped lineup, held to the same bore tolerances. Hand-lapped, button-rifled, and inspected before it leaves the building. Proof's steel barrels are what competitive shooters reach for when they need a barrel that stays accurate through high round counts. Carbon saves weight; steel takes the abuse.

Every barrel is cut to 26" and chambered to your caliber selection, then headspaced to the action before it ships. Twist rates vary by caliber — listed in the spec table. Thread is 5/8-24.
