South Fork Action
The South Fork action is built around a pre-hardened aircraft-certified 416 stainless steel receiver machined to exacting tolerances and designed around the Remington 700 footprint — giving you the widest possible compatibility with aftermarket triggers, stocks, chassis, and bottom metal. The bolt is machined from pre-hardened aircraft-certified 4340 chrome moly steel with recessed bolt lugs for smooth, slick cycling, a Mini-16 extractor for reliable extraction under all conditions, and a plunger ejector for consistent, positive case ejection. Receiver barrel threads are 1.0625" x 16 TPI (Remington 700 thread diameter and pitch). A pinned hardened 416 stainless steel recoil lug (.253") is included, precisely located for repeatable bedding in any compatible stock or chassis. Available in right or left hand.
Shaw 22 Creedmoor Barrel — 416R Stainless, HBar Contour
Shaw Barrels has been making precision rifle barrels in Pennsylvania since 1950, and their 22 Creedmoor offerings are built to the same standards that have earned Shaw a reputation among custom rifle builders. The barrel is machined from 416R stainless steel with a bead blast matte finish for corrosion resistance and a low-glare field appearance. The HBar contour provides the stiffness needed to resist heat-induced point-of-impact shift during extended shooting sessions while keeping the overall package at a practical field weight. A 1-8" twist rate stabilizes the full range of .224 caliber projectiles used in the 22 Creedmoor — from 55-grain varmint bullets up through the 80+ grain VLD and hybrid projectiles that make this cartridge exceptional at distance. The muzzle is threaded 5/8-24 for standard muzzle devices and suppressors.
